CARS Millport Minecraft
Created in Minecraft Eduation Edition JavaScript
This was a contract job through the University with 2 other students. The project was managed by a committee of lecturers from Abertay University and CARS Millport. CARS Millport's main goal was to get the community invested in the island of Cumbrae's history and heritage. The project was set to create something in Minecraft to teach kids aged 10-11 about the history and heritage of the Isle of Cumbrae.
My responsibilities in this project were to design and create levels and lesson plans that would keep the users engaged while also being informative. I would also use my background in programming to use scripts written in JavaScript to make levels and construct the world. I learned a lot about working remotely, Game Design and Level Design. This also provided an opportunity to learn JavaScript.

The Project, now called CumbraeCraft, was completed in February 2021 at the hight of the pandemic and it received the TIGA UK Games Education Awards for Excellence in University/Industry Collaboration. It also received the Design Unlocked award at the Abertay Digital Grad Show 2021 and was featured on STV news.
